Prior to coming to Brenda, I read all the reviews on this site. I would agree that Black Rock is about the best RV park in town. What really impressed us was the friendly people - strangers coming up to us and inviting us over to a campfire, inviting us on a 4-wheel drive, stopping to talk, etc. The sites are very large with ample room for RV, vehicles, trailers, and storage buildings. There are many park models, but everyone keeps their sites up well. Lots of ATVs, golf carts, Rhinos since you can go right out the back of the park onto BLM desert land and ride for miles. We will be back.

We were only able to get a water/electric hookup which also does not offer cable TV. Even so, we were surprised that the price was almost $40/night. The park is well kept, but some of the sites are a little difficult to get into and oddly shaped. There are some nice shade trees. They also have a very large laundry room. With your site, you get a table and a BBQ grill. Since the park is easy access off I-15, it is a good place to overnight.

We didn't stay here since they were full and I think that was a lucky break for us. This was a scary place. This is "dog patch city". Most of the park was semi-permanent residents who don't take much pride in their sites. The staff was friendly and helpful, however, and did call to the KOA to the east for us to see if they had space. I was never so glad to get out of a place! The campground guides overrated this place.

The rate quoted is for a lakeside site. The other sites are $40/night on a daily basis, but they do offer 10% discount with Good Sam/AAA. We came here based on the advertisements and ratings in the campground guides, and made a mistake in doing so. The adjacent state park (Cattail Cove) would have been much better. The sites are very narrow with hookups on one side and the cabana on the other side. We barely fit with our slideouts, and we don't have large slideouts. The access road is narrow so getting in and out of our site is VERY difficult. I found the bathrooms/laundry room - laundry room only has 2 washers & 2 dryers. There are many permanent/semi-permanent residents. There is an OK cafe at the park which was good, but expensive and service is slow. There is a marina associated with the park where you can rent a slip. We won't come here again - the state parks are much better.

This is a quiet, well-maintained park. It used to be entirely a MH park, but as MH lefts, they opened it up to RV's. Since we were only staying overnight, we were put in an area designed just for overnighters since although there were sites with concrete patios and grass, we were on asphalt squeezed in right next to one another. There was no cable (not working at the time in our area), but we got several channels on the antenna. We would stay here again if we need a site for the night.

This place is literally out in the middle of nowhere. Be aware that there isn't a good sign to direct you into the resort area and directions in the campground guides don't tell you where to turn. The park is nice, but all sites are dirt with no patios. It is right on the lake and within walking distance to the casino (very smokey), restaurant, and marina. We paid extra for a site near the water, but the view was worth it. There is a ferry that goes on the 1/2 hour to Lake Havasu City across the lake.

This is a beautiful park - an oasis in the desert. If you visit in March or April, you will need reservations. Since we visited in February, there were a number of sites available. The only drawback was that there are only a few pull-through sites, but the back-ins were very large. It is a well maintained, well landscaped, fun casino, good and relatively cheap restaurant nearby. Overall, a great place to stay in Pahrump.

This park consists of over nighters and semi-permanent residents. The pull-throughs are long enough, but it is a little tight turning in and out of them. The sites are gravel and when the winds blow, it does get dusty. The laundry room is small and used by others in the town. There is a small grocery store that is part of the RV park and since this is one of the few grocery stores in town, there is a lot of in and out traffic for just the store. We had fun playing in the casino just north of the RV park. We used this as a base to see Death Valley NP.

Even though this place is out in the middle of nowhere, this is a nice RV park. It has many long and wide pull-through sites that are easy to get in and out. There is a small, older casino/bar and restaurant across the street - the restaurant is pretty good. The people are very friendly. The park is quiet. We found out that you can ride your ATV right out of the park in any direction. There are a number of snowbirds in the park. Monthly rates are $275 + electricity.

We stayed here because it was a Passport America affiliate so we got 1/2 price camping. The park is located quite a ways south from most of the things you would want to do in the area such as the casinos in Laughlin. We probably wouldn't have stayed here due to that fact if it weren't the only Passport America campground in this area. It is listed in Bullhead City, but is really located in Fort Mojave. Most of the sites are pull-through with concrete patios and tables. There are a number of full- timers/snowbirds/permanent residents, but most of those folks keep up their sites fairly well. The park is quiet and most campers are friendly.

We stayed here since it was a Passport America affiliate so the regular price would have been $20. The turnoff for the park was very difficult to find and we almost missed it. It is located in two parts with back in in one place and pull through about 1/2 mile down the road. The location isn't the best with unkempt properties nearby, barking dogs, and smell of horses. The pull-through sites, however, were easy to get into and were fairly level. It is an OK place for a night or two. We found it better than behind the Ramada in town.

We stayed here because it was a Passport America affiliate. Normal rate would have been $30/night. They had 1 site available for over nighters - rest appeared to be permanent residents who didn't have pride of ownership. Sites were squeezed together with little room. Fortunately, the 1 site for over nighters is the biggest site. The hot tub, as noted in the directory, was the hot tub in the backyard of the residence out in the open. The person who greeted us and helped us to our site was friendly and courteous. We wouldn't have stayed there if it wasn't for the 1/2 price camping.

This is an older state park so getting around and finding a site for a decent size RV is difficult. We had real problems with leveling on the pull-through sites. Also, the park does get a little "rowdy" on the weekends. We stayed here in order to visit relatives on the south side of Bellingham since there weren't any other RV park alternatives in that area. We had difficulty trying to find a park attendant to answer questions, but it was the last week of taking reservations so the number of staff had been decreased by then.
